Craig, I'm interested to read that you find the scanner profiles to be better after the i1 Upgrade A. I was under the impression that the new software, i1Publish, didn't include a scanner profiling module, and that X-Rite left your previous software--either MonacoProfiler of ProfileMakerPro--active for input profiles. I have read of some people bringing the scanner data in by some circuitous route and then using the Prism engine in i1Publish to build the profile. Is this what you're referring to? My situation was the same as yours- purchased the same bundle 5 or 6 years ago. After purchasing Upgrade A, my experience with iPublishPro's monitor, RGB Output, CMYK Output, and scanner profiling have been very satisfactory. There are numerous options available that we're not a part of the previous EyeOne Photo bundle- and the options I have used have produced better profiles.

If you originally purchased i1Photo, i1Photo SG, i1Proof, i1XT, or i1XTreme – buy i1PublishUpgrade A to get full i1Publish Pro functionality. (Use your existing i1Pro, still keep your license flags for i1Match software, and get all the new software, features and components).
I'd really rather not spend the $500 right now, and am interested in recommendations from this group. What do you think about i1Publish Pro, and how does it compare with other options?
