Does anyone know what is the difference between "Fine - 1440 dpi" and "SuperPhoto - 1440 dpi"? The manual is completely useless. Obviously the SuperPhoto is supposed to be a better print quality, but what is it doing differently?
Just a guess... but on other models such differences are typically one prints at 720x1440 and the other prints at 1440x1440. These newer generation Epsons are fast enough that I almost always use them on the highest available setting. Even if I can't tell the difference in printed output on a given type of job, the higher res settings seem prone to fewer errors. If during a job one nozzle gives out, it will cause very noticeable banding in the lowest res output. As you go up in res setting, that single nozzle jet plays less and less of a factor in overall output. You will rarely even see the effect of a single dead nozzle if you're printing on the highest resolution setting.
