Hi Louis! I don't think "they look the same", but I do know I prefer a "nice looking" image to an image that's color correct in gamut, but clipped where out of the iPads gamut. IMO, clipping is a way more noticeable phenomenon then the colors being a bit off… Also: How many iPads do you guess are calibrated? My (wild) guess: Less then 2%. My point about color management for the iPad is more about magazine, publications, etc. were color is as much important as their printed versions.

If by that you mean "assume sRGB for display". I'd say yes. Just do what Safari (and most of Windows) has always done. In this case, it actually makes a bit sense. ;)
