As the subject line says. I have hit various bugs printing CMYK with Gutenprint, and wish to know whether anyone has a distrib where it just works.
With openSUSE 12.3: * Printing the CMYK TIFF you sent me gave basically a gray page with narrow vertical stripes. * Converting it to PDF using ImageMagick, and verifying with "identify -verbose file.tif", printed correctly, in CMYK mode. I verified this both from the CUPS error log (where Gutenprint indicated that it was in CMYK mode) and by visual inspection of the output with a 5x loupe. So the core print chain works, but imagetoraster appears to have problems with at least CMYK TIFFs. -- Robert Krawitz <rlk@alum.mit.edu> MIT VI-3 1987 - Congrats MIT Engineers 5 straight men's hoops tourney Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- http://ProgFree.org Project lead for Gutenprint -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton
