All versions after 9 and before Acrobat DC 2015 can not properly display proofs. At least to calibrated and profiled monitors that are not in the sRGB colorspace. Reinstalling won’t do you any good. https://forums.adobe.com/inbox?objectType=2&objectID=4665966 Doyle

I'm am using CS6 on my Mac Pro, OSX 10.8.5 (mountain lion). Acrobat X Pro is improperly displaying proofs and my commercial printer thinks it may be corrupt.
I bought this originally from Adobe and downloaded it (no DVDs). How do I go about downloading and installing a clean version of Acrobat X? I have the original confirming email from Adobe with my serial numbers and unlock codes.
Do I need to deactivate it first?
If so, will this deactivate the entire Creatives Suite?
I don't want to screw things up, so any recommendations and step by step procedures are much appreciated.
Thanks,
