There is NO problem, it is just that the diagnostics, at least at first, could not spot mechanical disalignment of the head if the unit was bumped in transit. When I got my original XL from Xrite, it was packed very economically and must have got dropped in transit and the head somehow got disaligned. The diagnostics (then) couldn't see any problem, but all the profiles were bad. Maybe the updated diagnostics are better. I took the train to Zurich and brought back the replacement in person to avoid transport issues again, and it proved to be a very good successor to the DTP-70, capable of running huge 5000 patch Atkinson charts. If you transport this device, pack it well. It is an expensive piece of precision equipment, and deserves to be handled with care. Edmund, can you say more about this? Even with the head lock enabled? And does the new iSis2 XL exhibit the same problem as the 1st?

Be careful, the iSis XL is susceptible to transport damage, and this damage is not detected by the diagnostics.

Hey Ethan. Are you saying it will hold the XL diagonally?

Lightware's 1217 holds an iSis and a smaller laptop with (some) room to spare. Shoving a Colorchecker in as well would work and with creatinve divider rearrangement, you should be able to squeeze in your i1.
