I've been very happy with my NEC PA241W. A bit cheaper than the Apple display, though it is only 24". However, it has a couple of nice features built in to facilitate accuracy. One of the features that makes it particularly nice for calibration is the built in LUT. When used with the appropriate NEC software and calibration puck, the calibration numbers are sent to the monitor's LUT instead of modifying the signal that the video card sends.
