Jim, My situation was the same as yours- purchased the same bundle 5 or 6 years ago. After purchasing Upgrade A, my experience with iPublishPro's monitor, RGB Output, CMYK Output, and scanner profiling have been very satisfactory. There are numerous options available that we're not a part of the previous EyeOne Photo bundle- and the options I have used have produced better profiles. Hello, Quite some time ago I purchased a product bundle: the Eye-One Photo kit, with Eye-One Pro (REV B), the Eye-One Beamer, and various accessories. It also came with the Eye-One Display 2.
The following options were enabled:
1. Monitor Profiling 2. RGB Output Profiling 3. CMYK Easy Output Profiling 4. Scanner Profiling 5. Projector Profiling 6. Digicam Profiling 7. Editor
I never used all its features, so it was overkill for me. I primarily use it to profile displays and did a bit of Epson printer profiling. I might have use for the Beamer to profile a digital projector, but thus far I have not. I have no use for the scanner, CMYK, or camera profiling options.
In any case, I'm now preparing to migrate to Lion, and I understand that none of the software in this package will run under Lion.
X-Rite offers an upgrade option for $500:
If you originally purchased i1Photo, i1Photo SG, i1Proof, i1XT, or i1XTreme – buy i1PublishUpgrade A to get full i1Publish Pro functionality. (Use your existing i1Pro, still keep your license flags for i1Match software, and get all the new software, features and components).
I'd really rather not spend the $500 right now, and am interested in recommendations from this group. What do you think about i1Publish Pro, and how does it compare with other options?
Thanks,
