It might be worth a try change the MeasurementTolerance=0.4 line to 0.2 in the XRi1G2WorkflowSettings.ini file. I don't know where it is located on a windows install but on the Mac it is in .../Library/Application Support/X-Rite/i1Profiler/XRi1G2WorkflowSettings.ini. I am getting messages more often that I did not get a good read on a line and I seem to be getting better profile with the setting at MeasurementTolerance=0.2. Before I was not getting line read error messages but I could visually see that that colors for some targets were so far off they had to be wrong. I always wondered how many were off that I couldn't tell. Doyle On Jun 18, 2011, at 6:08 PM, Millers' Photography L.L.C. wrote:
Some questions regarding i1 Profiler.
When reading a target, RGB, regardless of which line I read, the software does not register the corresponding line. It does not tell me I have read the wrong line for, let's say, line 3. I can read line 12, and if line 3 was the next one, it thinks I am reading it, the software is happy. I says read line 4 Does not tell me I have read the wrong line.
I have seen strange looking green profile shapes in .icc profile. Reading just one canvas, three times has given me different looking green shapes. I have no idea what is going on. I have seen this once before, so I reprinted the target and all was fine. I can send screen shots if screen shots would help.
Information on the target. 1260 patch chart, 12.8 x 23.7 inches. Unscrambled.
Epson Pro 9600 print driver, MBP4.1, 17 inch, os 10.6.7.
I have used both the i1 Pro revision D and revision A. Normally I use revision D. But was wondering if Revision would give the same results. And it did.
Thank you for your prompt consideration and response.
