Hi Scott, Yes, you've got the idea. But what I'm saying is that I can't get that i1P patch set into ColorPort. In ColorPort, I've tried Patch Set > New > Import Patches, but get the "There was an error..." message. Target Manager won't import the i1P patch set either. What am I missing? I see where you're going with this. I too have liked to bypass SV and make higher quality profiles in Monaco Profiler and now i1Profiler. The way to do this is easier than you might think. Save your i1P patch set and load it into CP to make a new target formatted for your device. Print the target through the RIP after performing all of the calibration/linearization steps. Plan on measuring that target in CP and drag and drop the measurement file onto i1P for proifling. Once you've got your profile you can enable it in ColorBurst. No need to launch SV at all, except for linearization prior to profiling.

Why would anyone want to do this, you might ask... well, I would like to use i1Profiler to improve the CMYK profiles used in the RIP. ColorBurst requires the use of a UV-cut spectro - hence the DTP20, since my EyeOne is UV-included. Like ColorPort, SVP can save measurements in cgats format, which i1P can import to build the profile, so I just need to get the i1P patch set formatted & read by the DTP20.
I haven't had any success figuring out how to resave the .pxf file i1P generates into anything that ColorPort can use (assuming any success here should also work in SpectralVision Pro). When I go to build new target, and Import Patches, ColorPort sees the .pxf (and a resaved .txt version), but then just throws up a "There was an error importing this file" error.
Maybe instead of just resaving the .pxf as a.txt file it needs some editing as well? Obviously, I have no clue.
I know this is a bit obscure, but thought if there is an answer someone here will know it...

Yes, I’ve done this too. It isn’t easy. You basically import the patch data, then futz around with patch size and such until you get an identical appearing target in i1Profile that matches what you had in ProfileMaker pro. So even though you have the correct patch order and position, that isn’t something i1P can decipher. If you setup the instrument and page to match the original, then it is a matter of carefully altering the patch size sliders until you get the exact match. Not easy but doable.
