Hi ColorSyncers,
Apologies if this is a bit far afield, but I'm thinking if I can get assistance about this from anywhere, it would be here…
After years of good performance, my trusty DTP20 spectro is kaput - the battery will not take a charge anymore. X-rite wants $700 to rehabilitate it; that is out of the question for me.
I hate the thought of just trashing it, so first I want to ask if any third parties might be able to replace the rechargeable battery in this unit. I'm thinking once upon a time there were people who actually repaired electronics, might that be possible here, or is this device too obscure?
If I can't figure out a repair option, I would welcome anyone's interest in picking this up for parts - I have the entire PulseColor Elite system, with the target & profile creation software & h/w, carry case & the DTP94 monitor calibrator.
Thanks for any suggestions…
Hi John, Batteries Plus might be able to help you. They mention that they can replace / build batteries as needed for different devices. We have 3 in the Seattle area so there may be some in your neck of the woods as well: <http://www.batteriesplus.com> regards, Steve
