I'm in the process of measuring the PANTONE SkinTone Guide. The documentation clearly states that the patches are based on some Munsell-like notations, as is evidenced by the graphical representation of color space on the page "Skin Color Range", in the booklet. But I have difficulty with PANTONE's proprietary notation. Not that I want to criticize. They use something like PANTONE 1Y04 SP, 2R03 SP, 5Y03 SP and so on. I wish I could simply refer to them by plain-vanilla, good-old Munsell Hue Value Chroma notations? Is there a utility out there, by any chance, that would allow, say, to turn the spectral reflectances straight into Munsell notations? Comparing colors against each other using HVC is so much easier.
