Finally I was able to get back on the RIP. I set up the device, an i1Pro, both ways this time and finally Eye One Strip Mode worked! I can take normal readings. Thank you to everyone for your comments and help. I'm trying to pull a little more out of the printer but its current Ink Restrictions appear to indeed be where they are needed. David
