While the ICC does have more representatives from printing than other areas - they are very much interested in displays, cameras, cinema projectors, spectral rendering, and other areas. There is a lot of active research and work going on with the ICC and related standards groups that you may not be aware of... Hollywood is not innovating, so much as catching up with the ICC.
