i1profiler and iO Table second gen with M1
I hear various reports that the path between the iO Table second gen and i1profiler isn't as smooth as can be. Right now, it seems only i1profiler supports iO Table 2nd gen, as far as supporting M0/M1/M2 modes. And that support, in effect, isn't all that successful. Does basICColor Catch supports iO Table 2nd gen in all its measuring modes? ProfileMakerPro v5 can only allow measurement in M0 with the new iO Table 2nd gen. And under Lion, forget it. Better turn to Windows. Argyll, I gather, already supports i1pro2 in M0/M1/M2. Curious to hear others' experiences. / Roger
Hello Roger, the product page of the i1iO says: NOTE: i1iO 2nd generation will initially function in compatibility mode for scanning M0 measurement conditions. Other measurement conditions will be added as free update in Q3. As far as I know, other measurement conditions are only possible if you use the ruler. It appears to me that the current i0 driver only has the legacy i1pro driver code in it. Presumably X-Rite will issue an update at some stage to address this. Graeme Gill.

Yes and no. Current revision Argyll supports the i1pro2 in legacy mode. You can get M0/M1/M2 out of a spetrolino, i1pro or i1pro2 if you feed the right illuminant into the FWA compensation. The i1pro2 UV measurement mode could potentially improve the accuracy of the FWA compensation. Graeme Gill.
