Hi to all As some of you may have heard, X-rite and Danaher have entered into a definitive merger agreement that has X-rite being purchased out right at $5.50 per share. I want to take a moment to assure our stake holders (share holders, customers, and partners), that this is a very positive move in the evolution of X-rite. On a personal note, when I learned that we were being acquired by Danaher, I was quite pleased. In general, their acquisitions have grown stronger and they generally have applied an "arms length" management philosophy to their purchased divisions. If you look at their corporate portfolio you will see just how strong they are and X-rite gains some significant benefits in the areas of information management and supply chain. The only real difference one will see in the short term is the elimination of X-rite stock from the public market. I would like to emphasize to our customers and partners that you should see no disruption or major changes in personnel, products or facilities. You may see some new faces, but most, or all, of these new hires came on before the merger, as result of new programs, not as a result of the merger. As you will see at Drupa we are moving forward with a number of new initiatives, such as PantoneLive, as well as a number of new products. The new i1Pro was released 11 April and there are more products to follow. The acquisition puts X-rite/ Pantone in a family of high technology companies that share synergistic requirements which are well served by the scale of company like Danaher. We, at X-rite, look forward to working with our customers and partners with the confidence that a strong team of business associates and a secure financial outlook provides. I am having an issue with a 2 page chart for a DTP70 that was combined into a single chart. I have a .txt for a reference file that is requiring two pages when I scan it. It will scan the first half of the sheet and ask for the second sheet. What do I need to modify in the reference file to make the DTP70 see this as a single chart? Many thanks, Randy Norian
Randy, what application are you using for measurement, Measure Tool or Colorport? If it was designed as a single page chart from the get-go, your reference file (Measure Tool) or target xml file should reflect this. On the other hand, if someone took a two page chart and combined the TIFFs in something like Photoshop without updating the reference file/target xml, you might be hosed. At the very least it will take some serious hacking of the reference file or target xml file to get it to scan it as a single page. Regards, Terry On Apr 12, 2012, at 1:56 PM, Randy Norian wrote:

Could you carefully cut the chart at the point where the device is asking for a second page? Then on the second page attach extra paper at the top of the chart so the Dtp70 will read it. You would want to use a very thin strip of tape on the underside of the paper. Hopefully the paper is thick enough not to have the tape effect the measurements. -- Steve Miller Color Management Specialist "Quality Begins Here" BIC Advertising & Promotional Products 1000 3rd Ave. SW Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 Tel.: (1) 507 794 8203 E-mail: slmiller@norwood.com www.norwood.com / www.bicgraphic.com CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE This electronic message is confidential and may contain legally privileged information intended only for the use of the individual or company named above.
