You might want to go back and listen a little more closely...

What Chopra is speaking of is "first person." He's speaking of thoughts and ideas, not of observations. His point -- buy into it or not -- is that there is no scientific explanation for consciousness. Since all color is outside of us and observed; it comes into our eyes, and then we perceive it, color science just doesn't apply.
