I'm interested in experimenting with the new "Spectral" type Device Link Profiles offered in i1Profiler.

From X-Rite's documentation, this feature requires that both the Source and Destination device profiles have spectral data. Logical.

Yet, when I try to build a spectral DVL out of a pair device profiles, freshly created in i1Profiler, from the provided "SWOP 2006 Coated 3.mxf" dataset, that only include XYZ / Lab colorimetric data, I am surprised not to get any kind of error messages to the effect that there is *no* spectral data to be found in the selected device profiles pair? I must be missing something grossly obvious :( / Roger
