But as I mentioned in the post, those that work and those that don't are made the same, by the same software, tags etc in Colorthink show the same... the only difference is that perhaps it was a different paper, patch count chart, GCR setting... so, what constitutes "valid" then, given all of this? Photoshop requires that the multichannel profiles be valid profiles. There are a lot of non-ICC conformant multichannel profiles out there, which Adobe code will reject (because they can't be used).
