V2 profiles no longer show up in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
It appears to me that Adobe, in their infinite wisdom, now only honors V4 ICC profiles in their Color Settings > Working Profiles? I ran into this 'issue' using Adobe Photoshop 2019 20.0.6 and InDesign 2019 14.0.2 and Illustrator 2019 23.0.6 and Acrobat 2019 0.12.20036 on Windows 10. (Could be PC-related?) All my custom V2 profiles have stopped showing, all of a sudden. Whereas all my custom V4 profiles are still being listed. Best / Roger Breton

Not that I can see. In fact, nearly all are in the folder installed (Recommended) are V2.1.0 And they all show up on this end..... Andrew Rodney http://www.digitaldog.net/

Perhaps there's a cache file that needs to be reset / deleted / ass-kicked? Steve
I’ve been following this issue of Photoshops Print dialog not showing certain profiles for years now. Your profiles show up everywhere else, ie: in every application and even within Photoshop, but just aren’t showing up specifically in Photoshop's Print dialog right? If so, this is a known issue, but some of the specifics are a little vague. Here’s what I know: 1) Profiles that use certain special characters are ignored. “(”, “)” and “-“ are three examples that can cause profiles to not show up. You must use the ColorSync utility to remove these characters in their *internal* names, specifically the ASCII Name in order for Photoshop to list these profiles in the Print dialog. Leaving these characters in the external file name is fine. 2) Some profiles won’t show up when placed in Adobe’s “Recommended” folder, but will shop up with moved into the parent “Profiles” folder. 3) Profiles that aren’t visible on one Mac may be visible when placed in the same location on another Mac running the same OS and PS version. Reproducibility is a challenge. I’ve documented this carefully, sent details, profiles and screen grabs to several people at Abode including Dave Polaschek, but… nothing. No acknowledgement or improvement in 7 years now. They suggest using their profiles instead of “flakey" custom ones. If anyone can help I think there are a lot of people who would appreciate it. This problem is far more widespread than you would think from what little discussion there is about it. Scott Martin www.on-sight.com Precise color science for printmaking professionals
