i1Profiler - Publish on a PC crashes too
I'm using i1Profiler Publish v. 1.2.0 on a Windows XP platform. The program has also crashed a number of times, without an apparent cause. I like i1Profiler Publish with its fully integrated interface. I used ProfileMaker 5.0.10 with its modular approach before. I miss the ability to enter an ISO greybalance but appreciate that it's an "open door" with a strong possibility of being adjusted badly. I would also like a multicolour 3-D display for the profile gamut. A monochrome green display went out of general use in the mid-80's. I'm also experiencing problems with recognising an X-Rite iSis XL spectro the USB interface, even with the iSis switched on at the time of connection. The latest USB driver seems to not be installed at the same time as the new i1Publish software - but this is a minor problem that can probably be easily solved.
I bought VMWare and virtualized OS X Lion on it. This at least keeps my client photoshop images intact when the dongle freezes out the virtual machine. Really Xrite? Really? All the best, Walker
