If the scanner still works and you consider that it's able to yield quality scan then you could seriously consider acquiring a dongle to drive it through ColorQuest. I, personally, never used that scanner so I would not know what's it worth, in terms of quality. The dongle may be expensive but it may also give you the latest version of their software. I'd suggest you take a look at eBay first... You never know. For the past month or so I have been on the search for a USB dongle, that will allow myself to run ColorQuest to control my Scanmate 3000 drum scanner. I do not know how their company works, but did notice they are still releasing new software for OSX10. Would you purchase a dongle through their company, I would very much be interested in doing so as my scanner has been purchased second hand without one.
