Re: Epson SureColor P5000 problem
Heh, I got the same message on my P5000 two days ago. I also tried everything except Power Cleaning, but also without any success. I also tried to update printer's firmware, but also without success because the printer is in Unknown state (as shown thru printer's web interface), not in Ready state. I found the following description of similar warning in P20000 guide: =============================== Perform Powerful Cleaning on all nozzles. You have not cleaned the print head nozzles in six months and Timer Cleaning is set to Off. Run a Powerful Cleaning cycle in the Administrator menu. =============================== It seems Epson made this special feature to prevent head clogging... Yes - it happened after letting the printer attempt an auto-nozzle clean. The auto-clean did not finish getting them clean so it left this message. After doing manual cleanings and manual tests to verify that all the jets were fine, I was stuck with this message. Power off and unplugging the power did not clear it. Another auto-clean (which passed okay) did not clear it. Clearly a bug and I have no idea how to clear it. I'm not going to do a Power Cleaning as this will waste too much ink.

Anybody using the P5000 and encountered this, undocumented, warning from the LCD panel:
Perform Powerful Cleaning (All Nozzles) from Administrator Menu.
Heads on our P5000 are perfect on both the printed and non-printed head tests, but we can't get rid of this warning message :(

Alexey Thanks for posting, it was really useful but haven’t had a chance to post to ColorSync-Users and say thanks until now. Cheers -- Martin Orpen Idea Digital Imaging Ltd
