Color Geek on Windows
I realize the irony of asking this question here but can anyone confirm the locations of these important color files on Windows? On the Mac we save CMYK ColorPort reference files in this location: Mac OS: [user folder]>Documents>ColorPortResources>refs>cmyk ...so would that be: Windows: C:\Program Files\X-rite\ColorPort 2.0\Resources\ refs\cmyk on Windows? And on the Mac we save i1Profiler workflow files in this location: Mac OS: [user folder]>Library>ApplicationSupport>X-Rite>i1Profiler>ColorSpaceRGB>MeasureReferenceWorkflows ...so would that be: Windows: C:\Program Files\X-rite\i1Profiler>ColorSpaceRGB>MeasureReferenceWorkflows on Windows? Thanks in advance! Scott Martin www.on-sight.com
Scott, I don't think so. The refs for Colorport are all here: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\ColorPort_Resources\refs\ ...with individual folders for cmyk, rgb, etc. Depending on the system, I guess the location folder in Documents and Settings might be some user as opposed to Administrator. I haven't installed i1 Profiler on Windows, but I'd guess it'd follow the same path. Mike Adams Correct Color It's: C:\ On Feb 21, 2012, at 4:30 PM, Scott Martin wrote:

Scott, The Win version of i1Profiler stores its resources in: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\X-Rite\i1Profiler %ALLUSERSPROFILE% maps to \ProgramData on Win 7, 8, and Vista or \Documents and Settings\All Users on XP. All the configuration files are stored in the %ALLUSERSPROFILE% folder tree, and is the default location for measurement results as well. The only stuff saved in the per-user directories are the log files generated when a measurement is performed or profile built. Needless to say, this makes running i1Profiler from a non-administrator account impossible. Cheers, Ethan From: Scott Martin
