There used to be specific OEM printer profiles that corresponded to the print quality resolution settings for the older Epson wide formats like the Stylus Pro 9000. I think that extra variety in profiles was abandoned when the 9700 range appeared, so the 9600 and 10600 may still have had them. I guess some compensation in the underlying media presets can help to make one printer profile usable for more resolutions. The resolution setting and the high speed, etc. can affect the color output a little bit, but probably not much. The default settings are most likely what the profiles are made to represent. So stick with those if it works for you. But if you have a need for a higher resolution or something, go ahead and try a print. You’ll get an idea of how much difference (if any) you’ll see by first-hand experience.

I am using the canned printer profiles that came with my Epson P5000 my question is when setting the “Output Resolution” by default it brings up SuperPhoto 1440 DPI, Super MicroWeave, and High Speed” Should I be changing any of those setting? I assume when Epson created the profiles thats how the printer was setup or does it not matter?
Thanks
