I am concerned about things like Colorsync and if it is working properly in OS 10.9. I use Photoshop CS5 and would like to use CS6; Epson drivers and software for the 7890; and iOne Spectro for profiling. If there are still issues, then maybe I should wait. I am still not sure if everything plays nice in Mavericks. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions. Of course the usual irresponsibility. Apple gives developers ample notice and kits to upgrade their drivers/software. Either the developers don't respond, don't respond on time, or there are unexpected issues none of them are prepared to take ownership of, either because of lazy support staff or improper policy. It is sometimes necessary to complain far up the management tree to get the issues addressed. At some responsible level they can become cooperative and get things fixed, but it shouldn't have to be this way.

David, no no no
me, mavericks can not run my Epson Pro 9900 driver! ! ! ! ! !
mavericks cannot run my Canon eos utitliy
Both are fine in Mt Lion............ Epson driver worked in 10.6.8 eos utility will not run in 10.6.8
I do have 10.6.8 on partition to run Rosetta Quickbooks Pro 5 for mac, an older version
Spent two (2) weeks regarding mavericks, with Epsn,Canon,Apple. Each said the other had the issue......not them.
Cheers

I am currently running Mac OS X 10.6.8 on my computers that are involved in photography and printing. I'm wondering if it is time to upgrade. With 10.9 Mavericks just released, have any serious professionals upgraded? What are the outstanding color management or other relevant issues, if any? Could some of you pros weigh in and give us less knowledgeable users an overview of the issues and problems? It sure would be a help. Thanks and best regards,

I cannot speak to all your devices, but the i1Pro works on Mavericks but you must upgrade the XRDS (X-Rite Device Services) to version 2.3.2 which can be found here http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=1509&Action=support&SoftwareID.... For a list of other X-Rite programs that may, or may not, need upgrading for Mavericks here is a link http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=1914&Action=support&SupportID=.... The XRDS upgrade will also affect any program using the X-Rite i1Pro libraries such as SpectraShop and BabelColor’s CT&A and PatchTool. SpectraShop works fine once the XRDS upgrade is installed. As to Mavericks in general, some things work faster with Mavericks, others behave erratically. My Magic Mouse suddenly stops scrolling in some programs, which is maddening since it seems to be random as to which program and when. If you have the disappearing scrollbars enabled (default), then there is no way to continue scrolling without restarting the program. A particular problem with long emails in Mail. My workaround was to force all the scrollbars to be constantly visible (System Preferences/General). Good luck!
