OS 10.6.7, PS CS5, 32 bit mode, can no longer run contact sheet II (Millers' Photography L.L.C.)
Hi Steve and Bob. The issue is resolved, CS4 Contact Sheet II needs to be pulled over to CS5. Previously I had moved CS3 Contact Sheet II, and had been working fine. Some update somewhere made a difference. I'll never know why. Good reason for me to kind of stay put with my software. Steve, I am enjoying i1 Publish I purchased from Chromix. Thank you! Since PSCS4, Contact sheet & picture package are "additional add ons": http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WS42C3020A-DAD1-4f92-8014-012... If you use Bridge > output module to create a pdf contact, make sure you enable color management in the prefs... Derek. That process for my workflow is a joke and one--half. Or more. I tried it yesterday. I get a PDF. I have no control! I am used to the normal unadulterated Contact II. I can set the custom .icc paper profile and see what it looks like. Soft proofing? Even LR 3.x doesn't offer me what I need. Hope this answers your question. I did run mem test overnight. Got OK. Increased disc space and had other discs for scratch. Still got the message. Now with CS4 programs in CS5, I am happy. Pleased. What more could I want? I run CS4 just for Contact Sheet II and its working just fine. I can't use Bridge for my needs. I need the fact that Contact Sheet II leaves what it builds as separate layers. I then run the sheets through some actions to add other business specific info and graphics. CS4 runs nicely right along side CS5. I just use it for contact sheets. That way I don't have to cripple CS5 for everything else by running it in 32bit mode to accommodate Contact Sheet II.
