It seems the chromaticity diagram from CIE 1931 is the only one really used, although 1976 is considered to be a significant improvement. Do I have that right? We are deciding which to show first in our software, and I'd love any input I can get from the colorati! - J Jeff Nova Chief Executive Officer Colorhythm https://colorhythm.com Mobile: +1 510-710-9590 Main: +1 415-399-9921 *This electronic mail and the documents accompanying it are considered trade secret, confidential and/or proprietary by Colorhythm LLC. Yes. The expert advice is to prefer 1976, but people are in the habit of using 1931, perhaps because they don't know any better, or perhaps because "that's what everyone else uses". (First comment at many a CIC paper presentation was from Robert W.G. Hunt sitting in the first row, pointing out that the authors really should have used a CIE1976 CIELUV Chromaticity diagram...) Cheers, Graeme Gill.
