Re: colorsync-users Digest, Vol 15, Issue 17
Hi Roger, I am using this printer every day for proofing. Works great! The Maintenance cartridge (MT-20) has to be replaced quite often. 11 color cartridge !! (which included CO (Color Optimizer) No Roll feed like Scott said. Foe speed, it depends the mode you are using. High quality is not too bad but Standard is faster and the difference is not that bad. 3 print heads the t can be replaced. Ink: about 71$ CAN per 80ml. cartridge. Hope this help! I'm longer able to unclog my Epson 4900, I see very faint nozzles lines in LLK/Y/VLM/LC but I'm not sure how to go about further unclogging the heads.
I'm looking at alternatives. Why not another Epson printer, you say? P5000? P800? After giving my money to Epson all these years, printers after printers, I'd like to consider the alternative, once and for all. It does not seem HP has any offerings in the 17" segment which leaves me with Canon.
Anyone with any experience with Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000? Color management wise?
Best / Roger
