The only other question I have is this, it seems that when building under 10.4 the binaries are being built for ppc and i386, is there a way to reduce the build to ppc only ??? As you are experiencing problems as a result of your own builds it is not a user level problem. That said, most of your questions would have been best served on the darwinbuild list. When we're reading information about another thread stack, we have the ppc_thread_state_t. We know the current pc is srr0, but we don't know whether the lr points to something valid or not. In the leaf function case, it does, and the stack pointer (r1) points to the parent's frame. However, in the non-leaf function case, it's either undefined or points immediately after the last function call that had been made, and the stack pointer (r1) points to the current frame. The current behavior of the stack crawl is to be verbose and treat both srr0 and lr as valid stack crawl pcs, and leave it to the humans to sort it out later. However, it appears that Apple's crash reporter manages to figure it out nicely. I've been staring at it for some time, but I cannot figure out how to do it that doesn't involve some code inspection to see if lr points to some code between ssr0 and the prolog of the function ssr0 is in (and that's assuming it has a prolog). Is there some nifty trick (without the use of stabs or traceback tables or sym files) to handle this case? It doesn't seem to. Beware that sync(2) is an asynchronous call. It just begins the flushing of data to all volumes. If you're reading the disk immediately, the changes may not have been written yet. What information in particular do you not think is getting flushed to disk. Have you tried FSCatalogSearch or PBCatSearch in Carbon, or searchfs (2) at the BSD layer? On HFS, they end up reading the catalog B-tree in file order, not in hierarchical order. (That's probably what your code is trying to do.) If you just need to search the catalog why not use searchfs(2) or the related Carbon call (PBCatSearch)? site_archiver(a)lists.apple.com Delivered-To: darwin-dev(a)lists.apple.com Hi all, I have integrated AVC/H.264 ISMACryp support within the mpeg4ip project and encountered the following problem: According to the ISMACryp spec the mp4v box of an encrypted MPEG-4 Video (simple) has to be substituted with the encv box with the esds box as child, etc. When creating AVC-Content I have an avc1 box with avcC as child and no esds box anymore. How does the box structure for an ISMA encrypted AVC file looks like? I have an idea but couldn´t find any information in the specs. Is it sufficient to create the encv box with the avc1/avcC boxes as children? Or do I have to add the esds box, too ? example: ... stbl stsd encv avc1 avcC ... Thanks for your help.
