But it still *doesn't* work . Is this some gdb bug ? $ gdb -version GNU gdb 6.3.50-20050815 (Apple version gdb-768) (Tue Oct 2 04:07:49 UTC 2007) |Is there any other way to make it work ? It's morally equivalent to freeing memory and then dereferencing the pointer that used to point to it and hoping it still lives in your address space. So dyld should be fine, right? If a command line app has both 32 and 64 bit versions available and is executed on a 64 bit machine, then the 64 bit version will be executed.
