I am not an expert on this, but I believe that capturing the audio from an individual process requires hackery, like overriding system calls when the process launches to splice in your own code. RogueAmoeba seems to specialize in this, with their apps like AudioHijack and AirFoil, and those apps have to relaunch a target app before they can intercept its audio. Darwinbuild 10.6.x build procedure?

I've tried various things and can build it outside of darwinbuild (just first build cxxfilt, dtrace, kext_tools, bootstrap_cmds) but when I try within darwinbuild it fails (in fact most projects fail) with various random errors. If I build with -nochroot it works (no surprise there) but I want to build inside the darwinbuild environment for 10J869. I suspect that the list of dependencies is wrong and to solve the problem I need to darwinbuild (and -load) some extra tools first, but I cant figure out which ones; the obvious ones (listed above) also wont build within darwinbuild. After using openat() function implementation based on chdir I found that this is not the best solution. chdir sets process-wide working directory and this means that you need to protect all open/stat/lstat and other functions that might use relative paths. Otherwise you'll have race condition. This is just too much hassle.
