I have not had a chance find a better solution personally, so if you have a way of fixing both launchd and xnu I'm sure the project would love to see a patch. I reverted just to build xnu, so perhaps a solution/workaround is to move dsymutil aside when building launchd and back in for xnu. If that makes sense. Pfew, now I can go on debugging ipfw fwd... I am surprised, maybe not so much, by the complete lack of interest in this issue (that used to plague FreeBSD a few years back). Lack of interest? Its open source, and you seem to be interested, so again, a patch is welcome that addresses the issue for both xnu and launchd. I've already suggested undoing the change for building xnu previously, but it may have been on the darwinbuild-dev list. I was not referring to the ipfw bug, not to the xnu building, sorry if it did seem otherwise! For the ipfw problem(s) [one is the fwd bug and the other a panic caused by some not yet well identified rule, both reported to Apple] I am working on it, but I am also sure that others with more experience on the bsd layer of Darwin would stand a better chance! Perhaps the darwin-kernel lists would be more appropriate one for this. Thank you again. Giuliano _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
