I've written a quickie Perl script that, among other things, starts / stops VLC (via launchd, so launchd will restart it if it crashes). This works fine, but for the occasional time where VLC does crash, OSX brings up a dialog asking the user if they want to re-open it, not realizing that launchd already will. Is there a way I can inhibit this dialog from appearing for this app (VLC)? This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
