I do recall Steve standing on stage making a commitment to HD-DVD with Sony a while back, but I suspect we won't see an Apple-shipping driver until the systems are bumped with the hardware.... who knows when that will happen. The stuff is still rare enough that I doubt an enthusiast on the Darwin list would have the resources to make this happen... and Apple is always tight-lipped about future stuff... so you're probably out of luck. Are there any drivers for Linux yet? If so, someone with sufficient patience and ability could port it to I/O Kit, no? ;) Is anyone aware whether anyone has developed an HD-DVD for Darwin/ MacOS X?
