Can anyone out there tell me why getpeereid() is turned off in Darwin/Panther and if there is any chance of it being turned back on? I can see the man page for it, but the headers clearly show its been disabled. Its really a nice function and using bind/stat for socket authentication and authorization instead is just so kludgy.
