(Thats me now) The best I can think of is the OD Hackers list(s Archive). Currently, it looks like the provided Darwin 8.0.1 (aka. Mac OS X 10.4) sources don't build as-is but a few people are working hard to get things sorted. That said, detailed descriptions of what exactly failed (e.g. last lines of the build log) would help discussion/fixing a lot. Well - I've tracked down the problems (so far) with compiling gcc-4061 to an expectation in the makefile in libstdc++v3 for having the env vars CC and CXX being set. When I set those to "gcc", I can get the build to work using gcc4, but not gcc3.3. I'm still running into a problem in testsuite where it expects a group of testsuite_XXX files that are being deleted by "make clean". I fetched the missing files from http://www.opensource.apple.com/ darwinsource/10.4/gcc-4061/libstdc++-v3/testsuite/ and can get that to build also, but can't get the tests to run. Apparently, those depend upon dejaGNU, which I don't have set up. Well - I've built the library, which is what I needed to do - I'm going to see now if I can actually use it.
