Sorry , First it was a geek joke thank you. but what then is the benefit that darwin is open source? what do all the open source darwin devs then change?! nothing like linux, where all the devs can optimize the code?! so we never will see a high performance responding osx? the render speed and so on is really hot on my quad. but os x is responsing very slowly if you look at other systems, like amigaos, morphos or linux. about what ? prog ? like amigaos, morphos i know, that the source for intel now is closed. and i know where i can download the sources for ppc. but my question is: does anybody know where i can find modified kernel/darwin packges? with improvement for speed, more features, fixes, optimized for g5 i.e There are no such things, inside or outside Apple.
