Yes, I know a lot about launchd and launchctl and launchagents, but this daemon needs to run even when the user isn't logged in. I'm looking for some alternative to StartupItemContext that a normal user can run. Alternatively, I'd like to find some way for a user bootstrap context to not timeout after a few hours. This happens even if the user is still logged in to the console, but is inactive for a while (say, overnight). I've been thinking about trying to make my daemon compatible with launchd, but it's a task. But then I could use the SessionCreate property...
