Running daemon in non-root account, but listening below 1024?

site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: darwin-dev@lists.apple.com Hi, I want to run a server that will listen on a port below 1024, but I do not wish it to run as root. Ideally I would create a dedicated account for this daemon and then grant it permission to listen of the specified privileged ports. Is this possible on Darwin/MacOS X?
