This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com Check out the following man pages: launchd, launchctl, launchd.plist, rc, SystemStarter. Specifically look at launchd.plist to see what sort of tasks are candidates for launchd. If I were to take a wild guess, I would check to see if your StartupItem's StartupParameter.plist is Requiring something that is no longer there. You should also see SystemStarter complain about something in /var/log/system.log as well during the boot, if there were missing dependancies. I just got my retail version of the new system from the Apple Store. I have found that some of my old /Library/StartupItems will not run. I assume I need to migrate these to launchd. Where would I look, what search terms should I use to find documentation on system startup for 10.4? smime.p7s
