Well, it looks like I shot out my missive a bit to quickly. The content for man pages is in fact the same for xCode and "man" . My apologies to anyone who spent the time to do the test. [I had done "man printf" instead of "man 3 printf".] I have had a private chat offlist, and it does appear that the man pages are getting updated - so when you have a problem do enter it on radar.
