Sorry, I was not very clear: I would like to see the source of the exact version that Apple shipped with the security update. Sources of the earlier version (rsync-20) are available, I know, and they do what you are describing. This is, after all, the rsync we had in Tiger until two days ago. Or are you saying that the source for rsync-23 is available somewhere on opendarwin CVS? I haven't found it yet.
Apple generally doesn't make source drops available for Security Update releases. However, rsync appears to be covered by the GPL, and so Apple is obliged to provide the sources. Give it a few days. -- Finlay
