If that doesn't yield enough info, try installing the USB Debug Kit corresponding to your version of Mac OS X. That will enable lots of logging in USB Prober. I am unable to get an answer at your question, but maybe you should take a look at my UPS software called TimeLeft. It's free... I'm interesting in troubleshooting the following problem, so I'm hoping to get some advice as to which module I should look into (IOKit or the Power Management System). For the past few months, I have periodically encountered an issue when the computer is entering deep sleep. The symptoms are: 1) The display goes dark 2) The power light DOES NOT pulsate as it would if the computer was sleeping 3) The fans continue to run 4) The computer is unresponsive to remote login (ssh) and it will not wake up when a keyboard or mouse event is generated I suspected that it might be a problem with the PowerChute driver for my APC UPS, so I've been running for a few weeks with the APC's USB cable disconnected.
