Hi,
Im looking for additional information about hwmond. In particular the manual entry states that the hwmond data is maintained as a CFDictionary but there is no information as how to access this.
Rather than mess with hwmond, I would suggest you look at the daemon used to communicate with Server Monitor. You can just emulate the client side and do whatever you want. I'm working on a set of perl scripts to extract the hwmond info and log it to a database. If/when that's done, I'll post it to the list. Have a look at /etc/servermgrd and /usr/share/servermgrd/, in specific, /usr/share/servermgrd/cgi-bin/servermgr_xserve. Of course, none of this is Darwin stuff, it is all Mac OS X Server stuff, but I assume that's what you'd be running on a Xserve. -j -- Jay A. Kreibich | Comm.
