Re: API used to access process heap structure
site_archiver@lists.apple.com Delivered-To: darwin-dev@lists.apple.com Priority: normal eh, sorry, the point I was trying to make is that Windows really does contain APIs which let you do really bad things to the OS -- so famously bad that... executives will say anything to keep from exposing them. walking another process's memory heap smacks of 1. reverse engineering 2. developing a buffer-overflow attack or 3. trying to patch a memory-leak which is better done using a debugger like Purify http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purify That's the point I meant to make. -Stewart ----- Original Message ----- From: Brad Parker <brad@heeltoe.com> Date: Thursday, September 7, 2006 5:54 pm Subject: Re: API used to access process heap structure

This is so laughable as to be good comedy. And not something (imho) for this mailing list.
to think that disclosing source code to a publically available piece of software might endanger an entire country shows incredible hubris and a pretty suprising lack of historical knowledge.
time to unsubscribe, me thinks.
