I'd also like to point out that darwinbuild works for me and I contributed a fair few patches that are used to facilitate the building of packages outside of Apple. It very well may work for you and the projects you do build and you may have contributed but this has nothing to do with the problem I have been experiencing. Some projects build without issues, others have small issues but the perl module, it doesn't build properly no matter how you slice it and I've tried the project on 5 different machine in different configurations all running Server software and not one has been successful so I wouldn't say this is an isolated case.
