Has anyone on this list been successful building FLICK ( http://www.cs.utah.edu/flux/flick/ ) under Mac OS X? I have one linker bug I'm not able to track down, thought someone on the list might have a clue.
Any reason you want to use Flick? Do you want to specifically work with CORBA IDL? I know some of the people who worked on Flick at U of Utah and it is not an actively maintained project, since it was done many years ago, and the project/research is completed. A lot of the Flick optimizations were rolled back into the TAO IDL compiler a long time ago. You can get TAO (which compiles on MacOS X) from http://www.theaceorb.com/downloads/ Another CORBA IDL compiler which I like a lot is the one that comes with OmniORB ( http://omniorb.sourceforge.net ). The CORBA ORB is in C++, but the IDL compiler is written in Python (but generates C++ stubs). -- Craig Rodrigues rodrigc@crodrigues.org _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
