Darwin doesn't have the equivalent to FreeBSD's "make world", however I suggest using DarwinBuild[1]. It helps automate the build process for Darwin projects, and will download sources on-demand as you build them. When initializing your DarwinBuild setup, use the build number "8F46" for Darwin 8.3.
