Darwin-dev mailing list (Darwin-dev@lists.apple.com) Help/Unsubscribe/Update your Subscription: http://lists.apple.com/mailman/options/darwin-dev/site_archiver%40lists.appl... Once all the proper packages are build, to assemble an install CD, one uses darwinmaster. However, darwinmaster figures out what's necessary to boot via "darwinxref group boot". Problem is, (at least on my system) it returns empty, even when using the OpenDarwin plists. I can't even seem to find any plist, from Apple or OD, which defines the group "boot". As far as I can tell several files are missing, I'm putting together a seperate build of the missing "mkisofs" app but it still appears that the files "InstallRoots" and a "boot.txt" are missing, I couldn't find much in the way of documentation that explains any of it however, I have been partially successful and think that with a boot.txt file I should be able to get something working. I've updated to darwinbuild 0.7.2, this seems to have resolved the boot.txt file issue however, the darwinmaster script has some syntax errors and things still aren't working as expected/intended. It doesn't generate a system on the image, it has a problem creating the netinfo db (resolved by adding a mkdir line) and it has an issue with kextcache (mkext/mach_kernel creation) which I'm not familar with but I'm willing to put together a package if I can get some assistance with creating a working model to base the works on and I'll have source for the mkisofs binary for inclusion by the end of the weekend. -Ben -- Dale This email sent to site_archiver@lists.apple.com
